Slope Point, South Island.  20cm x 20cm  Acrylic on board.

In many places, around the coast, of the most southern points of New Zealand the trees grow at acute angles like this due to the strong prevailing winds.  This looks like a gale is blowing, but it was actually a calm day.  SOLD

This is my studio. A large room with space for a framing table, easel, storage and exhibition wall. The table is currently a rather messy work space, however, hidden under that sheet is a half size slate pool table.  This gets used but rarely I have to say.  It actually came with the house, too difficult to move I am guessing.

A slightly contemporary interpretation of boats at Riverton Wharf, NZ.

 Pohutakawa Tree  30 x 30cm  Acrylics.

Another version of an earlier image of mine.

'The Dinghy'  I painted this very carefully then attacked it with various marks and swaiths of colour. I was attempting to morph this toward the contemporary.  Has it worked? Hard to say, it may not be quite there yet?  I chose to leave off though, rather than risk destroying 3 days of work.
