Wenderholm Regional Park 9x12 in. Acrylic
A day out painting recently in this fabulous spot. Lots of subjects here, boats, tidal inlet, coastal scenes etc. Those two seagulls posed pretty much the whole time I was there, they must like company or were wondering who the nutter was waving his arms about.

'Wharf Road, Tryphena. GBI
12x16 in Acrylic on canvas panel SOLD
My main interest and focal point here is the strong light contrast in the top left. The water is purposefully left as a simple flat tone of colour so as to not compete with the focal area. The play of light and shadow produced many interesting shapes.

'The Nautilus' Acrylic on boxed canvas.
Having lived by the ocean for many years and finding nautilus shells after storms, some quite large.
I dreamed up this rather whimsical poem one evening and thought it would fit nicely on a painting!
I tried to make the nautilus shell float out of the background colour, not sure it worked though.
However, a nice idea and worth trying ....... long live the nautilus!
